10. High levels of cholesterol
A study from Harvard Medical School in 2005 explains that when cholesterol levels begin to rise, one of the reasons is that the liver has become very toxic.
Now that you realize how dangerous a toxic liver is, it’s time to take care of it. You can start by refraining from consuming large amounts of alcohol. Alcohol can severely damage liver cells, which can lead to scarring and swelling. In some cases, this may lead to cirrhosis, which can be fatal! Your liver will also thank you if you exercise and eat healthily. The liver is already considered the most difficult organ in the body, so give it a rest and feed it with healthy nutrients.
Another way to protect your liver is to be careful when taking nutritional supplements. Some supplements will tell you that it will restore your liver. This includes milk thistle seeds and chanca piedra. There is currently no strong supporting evidence to support these allegations.
