Despite having gone through three births, the Duchess of Cambridge has kept her slim body and youthful, toned skin. Her tips are daily yoga, jogging routine and maintaining a proper diet. According to sources close to the royal family, Princess Kate pursues a clean, protein-rich and antioxidant-rich diet that helps fight skin aging from within.
Kate Middleton’s menu includes a variety of fruits and vegetables that contain high levels of antioxidants. Especially, butter and dairy products are strictly restricted in her meals. The mother of three’s breakfast is usually a smoothie consisting of kale, spinach, lettuce, coriander, green tea powder, blueberries and a special ingredient, spirulina.
Kale, spinach, green tea powder and blueberries are widely known to be ingredients that contain high levels of antioxidants and a lot of vitamins and minerals which are not only good for the body, improving health but also helping to beautify the skin.
Spirulina is a rich source of protein which is claimed to be one of the most nutrient-dense foods in the world. It is often recommended for vegetarians as a way to ensure they get enough iron. It contains Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamin, which is necessary for the digestion of fats and proteins. Spirulina also contains a large amount of calcium which is 26 times that of milk. This algae is also rich in unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants, which are good for the body and skin.
For an afternoon snack, the Duchess sometimes enjoys berries mixed with almond milk. Kate also loves foods that help beautify the skin such as watermelon salad, tomatoes, goji berries… Thanks to healthy eating habits, the mother of three keeps her skin young and fresh despite she is about to turn 40 next year.
